Not an emergency service. Calls to 911 are never screened or ended. Keep another way to reach 911. If someone is in danger, call 911.
Common problems
Calls are not reaching my parent
Open FamilyDefender on your parent’s phone and check the status at the top. Make sure notifications and the microphone are allowed, and that the phone has a network connection. If protection is off, calls may still be forwarded: see how to remove call forwarding.
In your app, open Family and create a new invitation. You get a new 6-digit code and QR code. Your parent chooses «I have a code from my family» and enters it.
The forwarding code didn’t work
Codes differ by carrier. In the app, copy the code again and dial it in the Phone app exactly as shown. If it still fails, write to us and tell us the carrier name.
An alert came for a real call
FamilyDefender may sometimes warn about a real call. Tap «It’s fine» and the call continues. You can add numbers your parent trusts so they ring straight through.
Cancel my subscription
Subscriptions are managed by your app store: on iPhone, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Then remove call forwarding on your parent’s phone.
This deletes your account and the data we hold about you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. If you can’t open the app, write to support@familydefender.app from the email or phone number on your account.
